Besides Soul Jazz in The UK there are two other companies currently releasing Studio One material, Yep Roc in the western hemisphere and Rock A Shacka in the east. There appears to be some competition between the two, exemplified here in a track listing that partially duplicates Rock A Shacka's recent album of the same title with six tracks that appear to be the same, while the Willi Williams tune is apparently an alternative mix, the Brentford Rockers' Pirates Choice is the same track simply entitled 'Instrumental' on the Rock A Shacka LP. Plead My Cause states that it is 'Take 3', presumably different from the take on the Rock A Shacka CD, the Roy Richards, Lennie Hibbert, Cool Operator and Freddy McGregor tracks are also featured on both sets as was the Rhueben Alexander, credited to Cedric Brooks on the RAS set, though corrected to Rueben Alexander on the single release.
