Added 20/10/10: Jamaican Recordings re-issue Tapper Zukie’s self-produced 1982 Raggy Joey Boy album which finds the deejay singing as much as deejaying. Zukie had success in the late seventies with his classic MPLA album and scored a massive hit with his production of Horace Andy’s Natty Dread A Wha She Want. By the early eighties the dancehall style was carrying the swing and Tapper can be heard here getting to grips with new deejay styles that were emerging and the reliance on do-over Studio One riddims is also reflected. The track listing is fleshed out by three Bunny Lee productions from the mid-seventies.
