Quality reissue of Sugar Minott's classic first album and his debut LP for Studio One. Originally released circa 1977/78 Live Loving marked the beginning of a new era of great music from Brentford Road that resulted in what eventually became known as dancehall. Minott quickly established himself in the camp as an enthusiastic and knowledgeable youth with an ear for what was happening in the dancehalls of the day where sounds were making great use of original and updated versions of old Studio One rhythms for their deejays to chat across. Many of these rhythms were being created by some of the most successful production houses of the day including Joe Gibbs and, most notably Channel One, but Sugar knew that Coxsone Dodd had the originals and felt that he wasn't making best use of them. That changed with the release of this fabulous album upon which Sugar sung new songs across vintage rhythms, thus dancehall was born and Studio One entered a new phase of artistic and profitable success. This release adds two extra tracks to the original ten.
