Recorded at the A Class Studio with Mafia & Fluxy building the rhythms to Shaka’s specifications and mixed by Gussie P. There’s been quite a buzz regarding this album amongst roots fans with Shaka running tracks as dubplates on his sound for a couple of years now. I See Jah uses the Blood Dunza riddim, Better known outside the Shaka scene for his lovers tunes Roger’s voice works extremely well on these kind of rhythms, drawing on Garnet Silk for musical inspiration on tracks like Praising Jah, Keep On Chanting, Be Thankful (which uses an adaptation of the old Creole Jah Creation / Shaka The Great rhythm), Journey On, Together (a stand out), Herbsman, Them Say We Wrong, Jah Kingdom, Come Now Jah and High Road To Destruction which adapts the Twinkle Brothers’ I Love You So to dreada ends.
