Johnny Lover - Who You Gonna Run To (Black Art / Reggae Fever) 7"

Format
Track Listing / Description

Full track listing: Johnny Lover - Who You Gonna Run To / Lee Perry & Heptones - Zion's Blood

Wicked deejay cut to Devon Irons' 1977 Black Ark classic When Jah Come, lifted from the Clocktower collection Upsetter & Friends.  Brad 'Clocktower' Osbourne, a JA expat living in New York in the '70's and '80's was fond of adding overdubs to the tapes he received from the Jamaican producers he made deals with and in this case he solicited the talents of another JA expat, deejay Johnny Lover who laid a deep, dread, supremely stoned sounding monotone across the rhythm. For the flipside, Reggae Fever have drawn for another cut of the rhythm previously only available on Perry's classic Super Ape album, the dreader dread Zion's Blood, featuring the Heptones on ethereal vocals.  First time on 7" for both, and an essential acquisition.
