Most of us will know this superb album by the title Island gave it on its original UK release in 1977; To Be A Lover, but in Jamaica Perry issued it as George Faith Super Eight. It's Perry's smoothest production from the late Black Ark period, with soulful singer George Faith covering seven soul classics and one original composition (Opportunity) across the hypnotic rhythms specially constructed by Perry and his crack team of Jamaican musicians for the project, an endless pulsating groove much in the style of the laid back groove Joseph Tarsia's Philadelphia based Sigma Sound Studio achieved for William DeVaughan and others at the time.
Side One:
1. I've Got The Groove
2. Opportunity
3. Hands Of Time
4. There's A Train
Side Two
5. Midnight Hour
6. To Be A Lover
7. Diana
8. So Fine
