Some of us remember those Makasound Inna De Yard CD's back in the mid 2000's featuring veteran artists recorded ad hoc in Chinna's garden in Jamaica, such sessions appear to have been going on since then and this vinyl only album is the most recent evidence. Chinna is of course the nickname of legendary Soul Syndicate guitarist Earl Smith, one of the creative musical geniuses behind the classic Jamaican roots reggae of the 70's and 80's. Here he facilitates the likes of Johnny Clarke, Big Youth, Cedric Myton (Congos) and Sangie Davis (The Gatherers) alongside younger luminaries Addis Pablo and Brian Gold Thompson of Brian & Tony Gold for more semi-acoustic explorations.
Side One:
1. Brian Gold Thompson - Ithiopia
2. Johnny Clarke - Follow
3. Sangie Davis - Rastafari Calling
4. Earl Chinna Smith - Love Ship
Side Two:
1. Addis Pablo - Africa Must Be Free
2. Big Youth - Be Careful
3. Earl Chinna Smith - Sense Of Direction
4. Cedric Congo Myton - Beautiful World
