Latest project from premier reggae revivalists a cherry-pick through the vaults of Sonia Pottinger's Gayfeet and High Note label. In the late seventies, Pottinger controlled Duke Reid's Treasure Isle catalogue and extensively re-pressed his legendary rock steady productions. She also issued a now highly sought after series of 12" remixes of some titles, featuring contemporary overdubs and extended "discomixes" featuring new deejay versions and dubs mixed by Errol Brown. This beautiful Alton Ellis vocal offers a fresh view of the original classic and the dub is a rare example of the often overlooked Brown's deft boardwork. To top it off, there is a killer 1978 version of Clive Chin and Pablo's masterwork Java, as Lava, from the Soul Syndicate.
