Smooth release emerges outta the studio of the veteran Prince Hammer. Hammer has been a producer for decades, sometimes without the proper recognition. He has produced killers that are still celebrated as heavy roots tunes nowadays. Jennifer Lara's 'Jah Will Lead Us' and Mike Brooks' 'Wonderful World' are two personal favourites, and the Rod Taylor 'Garden of Eden' album is some of Taylor's best work. Hammer coaxes a very smooth vocal outta Robert Lee, dancing lightly over the 'Baltimore' riddim constructed by Sly and Robbie back in the 80s. Mixed by Kingston Connexxion, this 12" is packed with the nutrients and substance that any roots fan would be seeking.
