It’s only a couple of months since Shiloh’s album for VP, and indeed the subdued brown and gold artwork and showy script on this Greensleeves set has fooled us all at first sight into thinking it’s a VP release too! Like recent sets from Natural Black (Jah Guide) and Sizzla (Waterhouse Redemption), this set finds producer King Jammy digging deep into the vaults for a clutch of his old pre-digital riddims including I Love King Selassie (Rastaman To Africa). Standout tracks include So Much Heathen, Man From The Mountain, Only King Selassie, Hardcore Steppers, Mama Africa, Jah Jah Lives on Sleng Teng, Praises To Jah on the Samfie Girl riddim, To The King on a sped-up cut to Dennis Brown’s The Exit, United We Stand, Girl Next Door on Water Pumping.
