Keithus I – Dreadlocks I / Dread A Dub It / Dreadlocks In The Ark (Jah Dynasty / DKR) US 10”
Crisp new set of releases from New York roots revive specialists Deeper Knowledge / Digikiller including three mid to late seventies titles by obscure roots artist Milton Samuels aka Keathus I - note: not the similarly named Kiddus I of Graduation In Zion fame. Keathus only issued six titles, working at Channel One, the Black Ark and Harry J, mainly with the Wailers Barrett brothers rhythm section. This release features the sparse Upsetter-like Dreadlocks I originally issued on Tommy Cowan's Arab label on 7". This 10" comes with both sides of the original release plus the killer full Black Ark do-over he cut later on that emerged on the long unavailable Black Ark In Dub album in the eighties.
