Dennis Bovell - Mek It Run (Pressure Sounds) CD
Pressure Sounds present UK dub doyen Dennis Bovell who selects a bag of vintage recordings at Neil 'Mad Professor' Fraser's Ariwa Studio and mixes them off in the company of Joe Ariwa. Some very tasty stuff here including new mixes to Zombie Zones and some tracks off the album Bovell cut with I Roy in the early-eighties; Whap'n Bap'n, including two mixes to the track here titled Afreecan, issued recently on a revive 10" as Jughead. Wild mixing and plenty of musicality render this album a listening treat.
