Barrington Levy - Robin Hood - CD (Greensleeves)

Barrington Levy - Robin Hood - CD (Greensleeves)

Originally issued in 1979, this was the follow-up to Barrington's Englishman set and featured the same hit-making team that made that set so successful; producer Henry 'Junjo' Lawes, The Roots Radics at Channel One and the final mix down by Scientist at King Tubby's. The title track uses the same killer riddim as the legendary Warm & Sunny Day and features an all too brief dubwise section at the end. Other highlights include the popular Rock & Come In, Love Sister Carol, Many Changes In Life and Nah Bruk No Fight Over Woman, while this release is enhanced by the inclusion of three extended tracks including the awesome Crucifixion (aka How We A Go Cross River Jordan). Classic late roots into early dancehall, sounding better than ever.
