Formed in 1995, the Vibronics, consisting of Steve Vibronics, Richi Rootz and a fluid crew of singers and players including Madu, Vitamin M, Stevie Splitz, Boney L, Jah Marnyah and Echo Ranks, have been one of the most prominent exponents of the underground musical movement known as the UK Roots scene, their productions usually appearing on their own Scoops label. This album features dubs to some of their recent releases including the two current 7” 45’s from Macka B and Echo Ranks. The sound is tough, uncompromising, heavyweight dub of the type played by roots sounds such as Aba Shanti, Iration Steppas and Jah Shaka, though melody and lightness of touch are also here in abundance.
